i1Defined is the industry’s first solution to include "humanized" interactive in-box training as well as a remote Personal Color Training (PCT) session - empowering customers to flex their color muscles! X-Rite is now extending the complete i1 solution promise to include in-box training - an offer that is unmatched by any other color management solution on the market! i1Defined is comprised of two training components - an interactive CD and remote Personal Color Trainer (PCT) sessions.
Beginning October 22nd, all i1 customers will receive first-level training through our new "humanized" flash-based interactive modules, included directly in every box. Our i1Pro customers will also receive a FREE remote Personal Color Training ‘one-hour’ session where an industry expert provides customized one-to-one training (i1Pro LT solutions require PCT session to be purchased separately).

55 minute Web-based Personal Color Training (PCT) session included with i1Photo, i1Photo SG, i1Proof and i1XT, including all i1iO bundles. Both the Interactive and PCT Training are delivered by X-Rite trainers who are experts in photo, design, prepress, large format printing, fine art and all the color disciplines where i1 is used.
I - Interactive Training
All i1 solutions include an educational interactive training program
This flash-based training covers color basics and theory, fundamental color management, system basics, and workflow foundations. This unique humanized interactive media system explains complex color concepts in an easy-to-understand way. We’ve included a section on how to upgrade your i1 system, so no matter which package you’ve sold to the customer, they will always have a reference for the additional functionality available as their needs grow.
II - Personal Color Trainer (PCT)
i1Photo, i1Photo SG, i1Proof and i1XT solutions provide even greater value with the inclusion of an all-new one-hour Personal Color Training (PCT) session. X-Rite is providing tremendous additional value through training to our top tier i1Pro customers with our NEW Personal Color Trainer remote one-hour sessions! Utilizing web-based training technology, our Personal Trainer can interact directly with the user within his specific environment to demonstrate how to implement the technology directly into any specific workflow. Even our XT customers will appreciate this new, direct training method which replaces the classroom training previously included with the XT product.
PCT is direct, efficient, and personalized to the customer’s needs. i1 customers will learn the basics of the i1 System with specific focus on how to make profiles, and more importantly, how to use those profiles in their day-to-day work to get the color results they desire. Our expert trainers will help the customer set up and maximize a best-practices color workflow
